The Good Shepherd

Seven Ways Christ is Our Good Shepherd

1. Christ has received you as a gift from the Father -

"For my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else.[a] No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand." - (John 10:29) NLT

2. Christ knows you completely -

“I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me, just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep." -  (John 10:14-15)

3. Christ gave himself for you -

"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep."
&

"just as my Father knows me and I know the Father. So I sacrifice my life for the sheep." - (John 10:11, 15)

4. Christ called and brought you to himself -

"I have other sheep, too, that are not in this sheepfold. I must bring them also. They will listen to my voice, and there will be one flock with one shepherd." - (John 10:16)

5. Christ owns you and will never abandon you -

"I am the good shepherd; I know my own sheep, and they know me,"

"My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me." - (John 10:14,27)

6. Christ gave you eternal life -

"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me," - (John 10:28)

7. Christ guards you and will keep you forever -

"I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me,  for my Father has given them to me, and he is more powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand." - (John 10:28-29)
